King Alfred 'The Great' (of England) married Queen Ealhswith (Alswitha) (of Mercia), daughter of Etherlred Mucel (Ealdorman of Gainas) (____?____) and Eadburh Fadburn, in 868.2 King Alfred 'The Great' (of England) died on 26 October 899 in England survived by Queen Ealhswith (Alswitha) (of Mercia).2 King Alfred 'The Great' (of England) is also reported to have died on 26 October 901 in Winchester, Hampshire, England.1
