     King Richard I 'Coeur De Lion' (of England) was born on 13 September 1157 at Beaumont Palace, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He was the son of King Henry II "Curt Mantle" Plantagenet of England and Queen Eleanor (of Aquitaine).1 King Richard I 'Coeur De Lion' (of England) married Berengaria (of Navarre), daughter of King Sancho VI (of Navarre) and Princess Sancha (of Castile), on 12 May 1191 in , Limassol, Cyprus.2,1 King Richard I 'Coeur De Lion' (of England) died on 6 April 1199 in Chalus, , France, at age 41.2 He was buried in Fontevrault L'ab, , France.2
     King Richard I 'Coeur De Lion' (of England) became King of England in 1189 replacing King Henry II "Curt Mantle" Plantagenet of England.1 King Richard I 'Coeur De Lion' (of England) was titled King of England (Richard I) from 1189 to 1199.1 He was replaced as King of England by King John "Lackland" (of England) in 1199.1
